STEAM Playshop

Look forward to 2 days of never-ending fun and exploration this school holidays!

At STEAM Playshop, young learners engage in design thinking and collaborative learning with their peers! Tasked with a challenge, young learners will be introduced to the fundamentals of Design Thinking through S.W.I.P.E (Spark, Wonder, Ideate, Prototype, Execute) to help resolve the problem. They will have the opportunities to tinker, experiment and employ the use of tech tools as they construct and build on their ideas.

 

Young learners will also get to hone their presentation skills as they conclude the programme with a showcase, where parents can be invited to watch their children present their prototypes!

 

The Playshop includes

  • A wide variety of workshop materials and supplies to encourage tinkering
  • Usage of tech-tools (3D-printing pen, app-enabled robotic and coding toys etc)
  • Playshop Diary to document learning
  • Parent-child take-home kit (consist an instruction manual and materials for hands-on activity) 
  • Certificate of Participation

    STEAM Playshop is suitable for young learners’ ages 5 – 6 (K1 – K2) and will be conducted in the comfort of preschools.

Light up the Village!

Due to a power outage and the lack of resources to rebuild the facilities, KidsSTOP™ Village has been living in darkness. Join us this holiday to explore the use of Light-Emitting Diode (LED), Electroluminescent Light (EL Light) and other tech tools to help light up the village and let it beam with life again!

Programme Details:

Duration

  • 2-half-Day Playshop (4-hour each)
  • Conducted during the school holidays in Mar, June, November and December
  • Class ratio: 3 students to 1 facilitator (with 1 main workshop instructor). Minimum capacity to start a class: 12

Programme Fee

  • $200 per student (inclusive of GST)
