PSLE Marking Day Special

The Science Centre will be open on 14 – 16 Oct and entry is complimentary for Singaporeans and PRs. Keep young minds active and inspired during the school break!

Sample itinerary: Register your child for the "I am a Young Botanist" hands-on activity in the morning, followed by the workshop "Jamming to Healthier Spread" in the afternoon!


Workshop 1: "I am a Young Geospatial Scientist"
Workshop Synopsis Be a young geospatial scientist at the Science Centre Singapore (SCS). Explore geospatial information system and technology (GIST) tools, learn to navigate, read maps, and locate points of interest. At the end of the workshop, participants will earn the “I am a Geospatial Scientist” physical badge and e-certificate!

Workshop 2: Jamming to Healthier Spread

Workshop Synopsis A jam-packed class, where we delve into the impact of sugar and its alternatives on health, and explore the captivating realm of jam. As a cherry on top (or other fruits in our case), we'll get to make our own fresh fruit jam that is perfect for spreading on your favourite treats.

Workshop 3: A Cut above the Rest

Workshop Synopsis Unlock the secrets of heat transfer printing and the technique behind the designs adorning your garments. Delve into this workshop to learn the art of crafting your own personalised physical piece using a digital cutting tool. You will leave with a pressed pouch bearing your unique design.

Hands-on Activity: "I am a Young Botanist"

Activity SynopsisBe a young botanist at the Science Centre Singapore (SCS) from 14-16 October. This educational event aims to introduce children to the world of plants through interactive learning experiences. Participants will explore various plant characteristics and adaptations, using microscopes to examine pollen and spores. The programme includes hands-on activities, such as creating leafy bookmarks, to enhance understanding of plant biology and growth. Upon completion, each child will receive a physical "I am a Young Botanist" badge and an e-certificate for becoming a young botanist.

Important Notice

Participants are only required to purchase Science Centre Admission tickets if they intend to visit the exhibitions in addition to attending the workshop. For parents dropping off their children, a registration booth will be available at the entrance of the Science Centre. After the workshop concludes, our educators will send the children back to the registration booth area.

  1. Confirmation is on a first-come-first-served basis.
  2. Please note that there will be no refund of the program cost for any no-shows, cancellations, or wrong selections during registration. Science Centre Singapore reserves the right to deny admission to participants who do not meet the minimum age requirement.

  4. Science Centre has the right to change or cancel the programme. In the event that the programme is canceled, all registered participants will be informed 3 days prior to the date of the programme, and all charges will be refunded.
  5. Please inform us at least 3 working days in advance if you are unable to attend the programme.
  6. Please be informed that while we will ensure that necessary safety precautions are taken, Science Centre Singapore will not be liable for any accidents or damages incurred during the programme.
  7. Science Centre Singapore may take photographs or recordings of any visitor for any purpose, without prior approval or compensation. Please inform the organisers if you do not wish to be photographed during the event.
  8. In the case of inclement weather, no refunds will be offered.
