Fire has had a great impact throughout the history of our civilisation – from campfires to oil lamps and smoke signals, to flame throwers. This exhibition touches on all of this and more.

Highlights

Fire-Highlight-01

What’s in A Flame

Different reactions are taking place in different areas of the flame. If insufficient oxygen is present to burn the fuel completely, the flame will glow yellow to red. When the combustion is complete, a much hotter flame of blue-white in colour is obtained. Experience it for yourself in this all-safe yet enlightening exhibit!
