The Extinction Café
What does the asteroid-driven extinction of the dinosaurs have to do with today’s human-made Anthropocene? Through vivid stories of sudden collapse and slow planetary change, we explore what the climate crisis and sustainability really mean, and what they demand from us.
Using deep-time extinction as a mirror, this event sparks discussions to rethink our impact and responsibilities in shaping Earth’s next chapter.

Warming climates, sea level rises, wildfires, extinctions of species…
All over the media, news of climate crises seems unrelenting. There are those who believe we’re running out of time to reverse course, but also those who believe that this is a natural process and there’s nothing we can or should do. So what’s really going on?
Let us take a look back through deep time and glimpse what happens when our planet starts to warm…and does not stop.
