Welcome to the International Science Drama Competition!

Theme for ISDC 2026

AI See the Future

ISDC 2026 (e-poster)

The International Science Drama Competition is an annual event aimed to promote science through drama. This is a competition involving teams from Singapore and overseas and will be a great opportunity for you to showcase your talents and compete on an international level.

The theme for 2026 is “AI See the Future”, revolving around the recent trends in Science – Artificial Intelligence.

This theme focuses on increasing public awareness of the principles, potential, and limitations of artificial intelligence. The skit should revolve around artificial intelligence. Here are some suggested topics (but not just limited to these) to go with the theme:

  • AI applications across industries (e.g. healthcare, transportation, safety)
  • AI Robotics & Automation
  • Generative AI
  • Human-AI interactions/relationships
  • Machine learning and pattern recognition

Open Category

Can teams sign up for more than one category?

  • Should a school or organisation decide to register more than 1 team in the same category, there should be no repetition of team members across teams; the same team members can, however, participate across categories, e.g. Member A can take part in Junior Category and Short Films Category
  • Should a team participate in more than one category, the same storyline cannot be repeated.

How many entry forms should I submit if I’m sending more than one team?

  • Kindly submit one entry form per team.
  • E.g. if School A is sending 2 teams for Open Category and 1 team for Short Films category, School A should submit a total of 3 entry forms.

[Open Category] What are the age requirements for participants?

  • If the team has 15 participants, at least 11 of them must be 20 years old or younger and a maximum of 4 above 20 years old.

[Open Category] Is it ok if all of them are less than 20 years old?

  • Yes, the participants can join Open Category if all of them are less than 20 years old.

[Open Category ] What if I have participants less than 13 years old or above 20 years old?

  • Participants less than 13 years old or above 20 years old may still be included in the Open Category. However, please note that at least 70% of participants must be 20 years old or younger, with a maximum of 30% above 20 years old.
