Over the years, Science Centre Singapore has strived to educate the community and the next generation on building a sustainable future together.
As we continue to tackle climate change, the Centre has conceptualised the SCS GREEN Plan to drive the next phase of our sustainability initiatives.
The SCS GREEN Plan consist of three pillars of sustainability: eduGREEN, advoGREEN, evoGREEN.
eduGREEN is the umbrella for education programmes on sustainability. These include the Young Sustainability Champion programme, where participants come up with solutions to real-world environmental problems.
Through eduGREEN, the Centre hopes to encourage green practices and knowledge within SCS and in the wider community.
advoGREEN is the pillar of collaborations that promote sustainability. Climate change is a global issue, and no one can solve it alone. Organisations need to work together.
Our Climate Changed exhibition was supported by the BBC, Canada's Science Museum, Science North, and Dynamic Earth. It aims to show why climate change is a serious and ongoing threat.
evoGREEN focuses on Science Centre Singapore’s efforts to become a more sustainable facility. The Centre aims to adopt strong green practices, such as improving its energy efficiency index and protecting the biodiversity in its Eco-garden.
Together, eduGREEN, advoGREEN and evoGREEN form the building blocks of Science Centre Singapore’s GREEN Plan. The future of our planet is in our hands and it is up to us to take action now. Be a part of our sustainability journey and join in our efforts to create a greener future. Contact us at marketing@science.edu.sg to know more!
