Moon Legends: From Myth to Mission

Location: Omni-Theatre
Duration: Approx. 20 minutes per show
Date: 25 & 26 Sep
Showtimes: 6.00pm, 6.40pm, 7.20pm, 8pm, 8.40pm, 9.20pm

People have been seeing a rabbit in the moon for centuries. They weren't wrong about the shape.

This Mid Autumn Festival, trace the craters behind the Jade Rabbit and the tales of Hou Yi and Chang'e, then find out what Artemis is looking for on the same surface. Old myth, live mission, one sky.

Finish outside at the Main Observatory, where our 16" telescope is open across the evening. Book a slot and see the moon with your own eyes rather than through someone else's photograph.

Long queues are expected for the telescope viewing. We seek your patience and kind understanding as we endeavour to give every guest a chance to view the celestial objects through the telescopes.

In the event of wet weather, all telescope viewing will not be possible.

SCB reserves the right to close the queue before the scheduled time.

For your own safety, use of personal telescopes and/or setting up of tripods are strictly not permitted within Science Centre Singapore premises during the event. Science Centre Singapore reserves the right to remove prohibited items from the premises.

Due to large crowds and to give everybody a chance to look through the telescopes, photography is not permitted at the telescopes. However, you may take photos without flash in the stargazing areas.

Guests are encouraged to take the public transport as there is limited carpark space within the premises of Science Centre Singapore and KidsSTOP™.
