STEM Community of Educators for Leading and Learning (STEM CeLL) is a newly established unit (late 2021) at Science Centre Singapore, dedicated to STEM-related professional development (PD) for educators.

STEM CeLL aims to deepen and broaden teachers' knowledge and skills, to strengthen their readiness in delivering STEM education through informal learning spaces. This is offered through our four main platforms – Teacher Work Attachment (TWA), Time with STEM (TwS), in-situ STEM Learning PD, and customised workshops for schools to suit your needs.

  • TWA is offered for 4 weeks during the months of May/June and Oct/Nov. Registration details are in the TWA page.
  • In-situ STEM Learning PD is a collaboration with AST. PD runs over 2-3 days and involves an observation of a STEM demo lesson conducted by MOE education officers seconded to SCS. Pre/post discussions will be held by Master Teachers on the design and enactment of STEM lessons in your classroom. Registration for these workshops is via OPAL 2.0.
  • TwS is a series of learning journeys, workshops and webinar sharing specially curated for teachers by industry partners, Institutes of Higher Learning, academics and SCS staff. Monthly EDMs are emailed to schools for registration. A copy is also available on our TwS page.
  • Customised workshops are available throughout the year. You can either choose from the menu of available workshops (disciplinary/interdisciplinary) or make special requests for a customised workshop.

We aim to make STEM-related PD as authentic as possible for our educators and welcome any suggestions you may have to improve our offerings. You may reach us at stem_cell@science.edu.sg.
