National Junior Robotics
Competition

The National Junior Robotics Competition (NJRC) is an exciting and unique event organised annually by Science Centre Singapore and the Agency for Science Technology and Research (A*STAR). This robotics competition encourages students to develop problem solving skills, entrepreneurial skills, creative thinking skills and team spirit among the participants.

Over the past 13 years, more than 40,000 participants and 200,000 supporters have gathered for this premier robotics competition. It has gone a long way since its first year in 1999 with only 167 teams and 70 schools.

The NJRC is an excellent opportunity for students to interact with their peers, teachers and judges, the latter coming from tertiary institutions, research institutions and experts from various industries. The NJRC is about celebrating the process of learning through interactive, meaningful experiences.

Back for its 14th year, NJRC 2012 promises to be filled with much more challenges, excitement and surprises! The theme for this year is “The Olympics 2012: Sport Science & Technology”. Registration for NJRC 2012 is open now! Please log on to http://www.science.edu.sg/events/Pages/NJRC2012.aspx for more registration details.
