About UNTAME School
This post-exam programme invites students to embark on a journey to discover and spark their interest in STEM and sustainability. Students will immerse in a blended learning experience through fun hands-on activities, engage in over 25 exciting curated online games and missions, and get exclusive opportunities to interact virtually with sustainability champions.
The programme runs from 13 October to 28 November 2021.

- A limited quantity is available, on a first-come-first-serve basis.
- For every 10 passes purchased, one teacher will receive free access to the virtual festival platform according to the pass purchased. One complimentary kit will be given per school with a purchase of more than 60 kits.
- For schools that purchase at least 60 THRIVE or SURVIVE kits, 1 complimentary online workshop conducted by Science Centre educators will be offered for every 30 kits purchased. Workshop bookings are on a first-come-first-serve basis.
- For purchases of at least 120 THRIVE kits, 1 complimentary in-school workshop conducted by Science Centre educators will be offered for every 30 kits purchased. Workshop bookings are on a first-come-first-serve basis.
- Schedule for activities, videos and a complete calendar of events for the UNTAME: Rebooting Our World festival will be shared at a later date.

The THRIVE ($64) and SURVIVE ($36) kits aim to inculcate the spirit of scientific inquiry, grounded in knowledge, issues and questions that relate to the roles played by science in daily life, society and the environment.
The hands-on activities challenge the students’ investigative and exploration skills, and seek to fuel their spirit of curiosity for their environment, and empower them to lead a sustainable lifestyle.

Syllabus links
Primary:
- Show an understanding that living things reproduce to ensure continuity of their kind.
- Make inquiries about the functions of plant parts.
- Investigate the effect of some variables on the current in a circuit and communicate findings.
Secondary:
- Identify redox reactions in terms of oxygen/hydrogen gain/loss, electron gain/loss and changes in oxidation state.
- Describe the intake of carbon dioxide and water by plants.
- Construct a circuit with power sources, transistors, and light-emitting diodes.
