We use sound for numerous purposes such as to communicate with people, for entertainment (music and movies) and even as a second form of sight.
In Physics, the sound is an excellent model for introducing wave phenomena in general.
In this workshop, students will use a loudspeaker, a microphone, and an oscilloscope to measure the time it takes sound to travel for a given distance, and accurately determine the speed of sound. They will also be able to observe the phenomenon of sound reflection (echoes).
