Please note that exhibition gallery halls will be closed on Mondays except school and public holidays. Lab lessons for schools will continue as per normal on these closure days. We thank you for your understanding. Energy comes in many different forms and it cannot be created or destroyed. In this engaging hands-on workshop, students will learn about the different forms of energy and how it can change from one form to another. The students will also be given a challenge - to design, build, and test a marble machine which they get to keep. Are you ready to spend some energy and do some work? Objectives:Recognise that energy from most of our energy resources is derived in some ways from the sun.Recognise and give examples of the various forms of energy - kinetic, potential, light, electrical, sound, heat, etc.Investigate energy conversion from one form to another and communicate findings.Show concern for the need to conserve energy usage in our everyday life.Recognise that objects have weight because of the gravitational force acting on the object.
