Institutional Membership

Fixed Membership Term: 1 Feb 2012 - 31 Dec 2012 (11 months)
Deadline for enrolment: 31 Jan 2012

Kindly note that the revised fixed membership term and rates are applicable to new memberships.  

Eligibility

The Institutional Membership Scheme is open to schools in Singapore under the Ministry of Education, which include primary schools, secondary schools, junior colleges, centralised institutes, and institutes of technical education (ITE).

The 11-month membership term is due to our transition to a fixed calendar year membership term. This change is part of our service improvement to simplify membership administration for schools.

Benefits/ Privileges

  1. Teachers and students are entitled to an unlimited free admission to the Science Centre for any number of visits.
  2. Special concession rates for any special event organised by the Science Centre.
  3. Free bookings of the Science Enrichment Programmes offered by the Science Centre. With the exception of some workshops for which a nominal fee for the materials will be charged per programme.
  4. Priority in the booking of educational programmes conducted at the Science Centre.
  5. Special discounts for Science Centre's publications.
  6. Free access to the Science Centre's reference Library.
  7. Special concession rate to the Omni-Theatre.
  8. Special concession rate for the rental of Science Centre facilities.

Conditions for Membership

  1. Membership is not transferable.
  2. Membership pass will be issued within 2 weeks of payment.
  3. A joining fee of $26.75 is applicable. (The joining fee will be waived upon renewal before expiry date.)
  4. For admission to the Science Centre Singapore, membership card has to be presented to the Ticketing Staff at the main entrance for registration.
  5. A fee of S$5.35 (excl gst) will be levied for any reissue of membership card.

Subscription

The subscription fee is based on the size of the institution's student enrolment. The rates are as follows:
Student Enrolment Subscription
(inclusive of Joining Fee and 7% GST)
2000 and above $613.02
Below 2000 $514.94
