A*STAR Collaboration

In a collaboration that was formalised in January 2002, the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) and the Science Centre Singapore embarked on a long-term commitment to implement and co-ordinate a series of initiatives aiming to promote an interest in science among Singapore youth.

The collaboration has resulted in a series of projects that engage young Singaporeans, employing a range of activities to cater to the various age groups and the different levels of scientific skills.

Objectives of the collaboration
With projects for youth under 18 years and their families the collaboration aims to:
  • inspire and engage the young.
  • raise the public's scientific awareness.
  • project science as part of everyday life.
  • highlight that science is fun and enriching.
