In Singapore, there is an organisation called SISIR. I would like to know the role and activities of this organisation.

Singapore Institute of Standards and Industrial Research (SISIR) was a statutory board under the purview of Ministry of Trade and Industry. In April 1996, the Singapore Productivity and Standards Board (PSB) was set up as a result of a merger between the National Productivity Board (NPB) and the Singapore Institute of Standards and Industrial Research (SISIR). PSB has integrated the functions of these two organisations and taken over the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) development function from the Economic Development Board (EDB).
