Question No.  1315 :
What is a group of bears called? What are the various collective nouns for chickens, tigers, lions, quails and pigs? Also, what is a male tiger, lion, rabbit, and quail called? What is a female lion, and quail called?

A group of bears is called a SLEUTH, a group of chickens is called a FLOCK and a group of lions is called a PRIDE. A group of quail is a COVEY and finally a group of pigs is a DROVE. You also asked about a group of tigers but tigers do not have a group name as they mainly live solitary lives except for the short breeding season.

A male tiger is just called a TIGER and a male lion is a LION while a female Lion is a LIONESS. A male rabbit is called a BUCK. A male quail is a COCK and the female a HEN.

I hope this answers your question. I have added the following list for your information.
