WHAT IS HAPPENING
The 2 numbers show the second-to-second estimate of the world population and the minute-to-minute estimate of Singapore's population. In 2004, the world population grew at about 2.3 new persons per second. In 2003, the effective Singapore population growth rate was 1.7%. This means that there was approximately 1 new Singaporean every 10 minutes, back then!
