TRY THIS
Arrange the black/white "seeds" in contact with one another, along a line on the table. Using the plastic striker, hit the outermost seed. How is the impact force transmitted to the seed at the other end of the line? Take careful aim and launch your attacks on different seed arrangements.

WHAT IS HAPPENING
The striking force is transferred along a particular "line of action". Striking the seed at one end of the seed arrangement causes the seed at the other end to move in the direction line of the arrangement. Hence, forces depend on direction. The seed also stops within a certain distance. Why?
