PS–05   What Is A Mixture?

TRY THIS
Shake each container vigorously until the contents are well mixed. Stop shaking and observe.

WHAT IS HAPPENING
The different substances in a mixture can be separated. Each container has a different type of mixture: solid+solid, solid+liquid and liquid+liquid. In these examples, once the mixing action stops, the different substances separate themselves out. These are mixtures of immiscible substances.
