Other Useful Information for Presenters
- A Café can comfortably be arranged with 3 or 4 weeks of advance notice. (The time of year can affect this.)
Once a date is confirmed, the following are needed to prepare an announcement and update these webpages.
- A title for your Café.
- A 2-paragraph synopsis.
- A 2-paragraph presenter's biography.
- List of standard equipment we provide for a Café
- Projector & Screen (venue-dependent)
- Laptop with MS Office (PowerPoint)
- Handheld Remote Controller (for slides)
- Laser Pointer
- Wireless Microphone (handheld/clip-on/head-mounted)
- The non-formal nature of our Café and the brief period for presentation will not usually allow for the use of most lecture-style equipment. However, if their use creates the presentation you want, for the ambience and the participant interaction sought, please advise us in advance for the following and/or other facilities to be made available.
- Various videoclip player (in laptop) with audio connection
- Flip charts (numbers required)
- External DVD players
- Adaptor for non-Intel laptop/notebook
- 220-to-110-VAC Adaptor
- Etc
THANK YOU!
For volunteering your time to present at our event. We – the organisers and Café attendees – thank you for giving us the opportunity to learn, share and ponder the topic.
