RoverBot
A rover has been sent to the planet Mars for a space mission! A team of scientists on Earth is to work together and programme the rover to pick up rock samples for analysis. This is the scenario that the participants will be in as they work in teams using the PicoBotz to retrieve designated sample rocks in the playing field.

SailBot
How does a sail boat work? What energy is required? How can modern technology be used to improve the efficiency of travelling on water? Using the basic concept of motorized boat, participants modify a sail propelled vehicle into one that can be programmed and controlled by a computer. This workshop leads the participants to apply technology into daily life examples and introduce the basic concepts of robotics using problem-solving methods.

This new robotics workshop based on LEGO NXT MINDSTORM will allow participants the first introduction to robotics in a fun and challenging way. Participants will be introduced to robotics in a top-down approach that will stimulate them to create even more sophisticated solutions, yielding more skills, more knowledge, and more solved challenges in a self-reinforcing cycle. This workshop will let participants work with pre-made robot parts and the latest specially designed easy-to-use software from the LEGO Company.
