Module 1 – Introduction & Building
Get an overview of the new LEGO NXT MINDSTORM set and learn about the basic concepts of robotics. Discover the many new features and functions found in this new and exciting robotics system. Have fun while discovering how to use LEGO Technic bricks to build basic structures of robots in this hands-on workshop.

Module 2 – Programming & Bluetooth Function
This practical hands-on workshop allows participants to programme the NXT robot using the interface software specifically designed for the NXT system. You learn the essential programme functions to command and instruct the robot to perform different tasks. At the same time, you get to use the Bluetooth function of the NXT system to control and maneuver the robot.

Module 3a – Touch Sensors
How does the robot “feel” its way around? Sensors act as "fingers" in robots to help them “touch” and “feel” their way around! Learn how the touch sensor is used in robots through a series of fun and challenging exercises. You may even programme your robot to "feel" its way through a maze!

Module 3b – Ultrasonic Sensors
What do dolphins, porpoises, bats and whales have in common? They find their way around using the technique called echolocation. Come and find out how to use the ultrasonic sensor and make your robot "see" even in total darkness.

Module 4a - Sound Sensors
Give your robot a sound sensor and it will be able to "hear" just like you can. Join us in this stimulating workshop to learn how the sound sensor works in robots. You can even activate your robot by your voice!

Module 4b – Light Sensors
Want to find out if robots are able to "see" like us? Come and discover the light sensor used in robots in this exciting workshop. Find out how to make robots can programmed to differentiate colours and find their way around using the light sensor.
