The Robotics Learning Centre houses
the Robotics Exhibition and the Robotics Learning Laboratoties.
The Robotics Exhibition focuses on the History of Robotics and
features many distinctive robot and exhibits. Some are models
and creation that have made great industrial contributions,
while others are robot toys, which have delighted and triggered
the imagination of the young.
The Robotics Learning Laboratories feature the LEGO MINDSTORMS
kit as an interactive learning tool. The lesson set-up trains
children to be team players and problem solvers and also aims
to spark their creativity and resourcefulness.
The laboratories are equipped with the components for children
to build robots. The components include the microprocessor,
light sensor and touch sensor. The children then use the programming
software to control the robot’s motion. Our experienced
trainer will guide the children though the course with a fun
filled environment. The children will also test their robots
on the specially designed playing field to see and analyse how
well their programming strategy worked.
Children will learn directly, by creating and exploring, how
to solve problems, they make their own ideas to come alive.
They learn implicity, how to think “out of the box”.
Any parent will endores this kind of play, and of course the
whole project is ‘lots of fun!’ |
