In conjunction with World Food Day on 16 October 2010, the Science Centre and the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) are pleased to present an exhibition on “Rice & the Cycle of Life.”

Enjoy learning more about this fascinating grain that is the staple diet for approximately half of the world’s population. Did you know that there are over 40,000 varieties of rice? Come understand more about the science behind this cereal, how rice is produced and processed, and appreciate the cultural importance of this humble, everyday food. Don’t miss your chance to catch the Rice exhibition from 16 October 2010 to End February 2011.
