X-ploring Space! @ Junction 8, June 2004

X-ploring Space! is finally over! If you had visited us at Junction 8, Bishan from 18 - 20 June, we hope you've had fun. If you had missed it, do join us again at X-periment! in Suntec City Entertainment Centre from 3 - 5 September 2004!

After welcoming 11,000 visitors to our 3-day X-ploring Space science carnival with kids and parents alike going gaga! over our Space Science shows and games, especially with the astronaut ice-creams give-aways. Science In The Mall has once again proved that it has created a winning formula. With interactive exhibits such as the Moon Walk (a simulation of the state of low gravity in Moon), Robot X-plorer, Space Age, The Long Haul and Guess Your Weight on different planets and more at the heart of the whole event, families and kids crowd the atrium of Junction 8 for the ultimate in mini space science adventure.

Hands-on activities such as making a model of our Solar System, Baby Rocket, the Satellite Orbit in addition to charting the Sky Map, there was certainly plenty of exploring and discovery to be done about space. Participants certainly will look out for the next Science In The Mall!

Our young aspiring astronauts discover the challenging task of collecting specimens on Mars for research in our simulated Robot X-plorer booth.

Crowds of children cheering as Christine and Sabariah, the Science Engineers from the Singapore Science Centre perform their Space Science shows with interesting experiments such as how sound travel in space, air pressure on different planets and more. Sabariah, who loves cooking put her craft to practice by whipping up a recipe in making a comet! The childrens were in awe!

The hands-on table was a favourite with young children and parents!
