Sembcorp Water Technology Prize
Are you fascinated by technology and the art of harnessing it for good?
And do you ever wonder where water for everyday life comes from, and how it is treated around the world to meet the needs of millions?
Membrane bioreactors are increasingly used as systems for wastewater treatment. This is due to the smaller footprint of these systems, as well as reduced sludge and improved odour control. Using membranes for wastewater treatment produces high quality permeate which can be used for making NEWater.
Students will be taught the basics of aeration in membrane bioreactors, and have the opportunity to build their own membrane filtration system.
