Science in the Café – Your Reservations

Reserving Place(s)

  • Pre-registration is required for all Cafés and on a first-come-first-served basis,
    • whether you are a member or a non-member.
    • The organisers reserve the right to reject reservation requests or (non-pre-registered) "walk-ins".
  • For Science Centre Individual, Family, Educator & Corporate members only :
    • Cafés attendance is complimentary.
    • Please provide your membership ID when pre-registering.
    • Please bring your membership card with you to the café.

    • Sorry! The following are NOT applicable or recognised for Café events: ie admission charges apply.
      • Institutional & Associate memberships – see below.
      • Group Discounts
      • Guests of members.

  • If you are not a member of the Science Centre,
    • we encourage you to join and enjoy as many of the 20 and more cafés per year.
    • Regular admission charges apply for all evening cafés.
    • Please view our Admission Charges webpage.
  • Evening Cafés usually start at 7pm and end before 9:30pm.
    • Please be punctual.
  • Afternoon Cafés are usually meant for Institutional & Associate Memberships (ie schools & students), as well as all other Science Centre memberships.
    • Regular admission charges apply for ALL non-members.
    • Pre-registration is also required – for members and non-members.
    • Depending on the event (sponsors), additional "special event" charges may also be applicable.
    • Please check for details in the Café Announcements or in our Café Calendars webpages; (above links).
  • Please register as early as possible
    • because catering and "elbow room" are important considerations for a conducive learning experience for everyone.
    • Although we greatly appreciate your interest and loathe to have to turn you away,
      • we advise that you do not "walk in"
      • in order to help us in our catering and our limited seating venue planning.
    • Registration is usually closed 2 (working) days before each café.
      • You are welcome to write in to inquire – even after the abovestated deadline.
      • If confirmation is not given within 2 (working) days, please try again.
    • An e-mail reminder will be sent to all pre-registrants a day before the event – with details of venue, etc.
  • All Cafés are held within Science Centre Singapore.

    To Make Your Reservation(s)

    Please e-mail the following information to Science in the Café { kt_pang@science.edu.sg }.
    The Café you wish to attend. REQUIRED information.
    Your name in full; underline/capitalise your surname. REQUIRED information.
    Your designation, department and organisation. [1] REQUIRED information.
    Your telephone number. Optional information.
    The e-mail address(es) you want us to use. [2] REQUIRED information.
    The number of (above 16 years) adults and children. REQUIRED information.
    Your Science Centre Membership ID, if any. [3] REQUIRED information.
    1. This information is usually requested by some Café sponsors only.
    2. In signing up to attend a café, it is assumed that you consent to our retaining your e-mail address(es) in our listings.
      Please be assured that your e-mail address(es) will NOT be disclosed to other parties.
    3. Please bring your membership card with you, for entry.
      For non-members, please pay for your entry with cash, or as directed by our staff.
