Singapore Amazing Machine
What Is SAMC about?
The search for THE Amazing Machine begins! Started in 2008, the SAMC is a unique national inter-school science competition where teams dream up and construct a complex machine that performs a seemingly simple task in as many steps as possible.
Jointly organized by DSO National Laboratories, Science Centre Singapore and School of Science and Technology, Singapore, this competition rewards the inventive spirit and challenges teams to be creative, to hone their problem-solving skills and to build simple structures and mechanisms with their hands.
Participants, in a team of up to 4 members from the same school, will be challenged to showcase their creativity, scientific knowledge and problem solving skills.
Theme: Design and construct a machine to share your vision for Singapore for the next 50 years!
