Launched in 2004, the National Science Challenge aims to promote science among students and the local public. The national schools science competition provides a fun and informal learning experience for the participants and promotes science education.
It is jointly organised by the Agency for Science, Technology and Research and the Science Centre Singapore, with support from the Ministry of Education.
A total of 50 teams participated in the National Science Challenge 2012. After 2 gruelling pre-qualifying rounds on 25 and 29 May 2012, the following 12 teams have made it to the televised rounds of the National Science Challenge 2012: -
