Intel ISEF 2007

ISEF is held in the United States annually and provides an opportunity for students from different parts of the world to showcase their science projects. The 1,500 finalists are chosen from a pool of more than 65,000 participants from more than 500 regional ISEF-affiliated science fairs around the world.
Singapore representatives obtained one First Award and one Second Award, making this Singapore's best performance in its 7 years of participation in ISEF!

- Amelia Chang Nong Shin from Raffles Junior College
She won the First Award in the category of Medicine and Health Sciences with her project "Development of a Novel Approach for Applications in Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy".
She received a prize of US$3,000 and a paid summer internship at the Agilent Technologies.
- Sewa Du Ying & Navin Brian Ramakrishna from National Junior College
The team has won the Second Award in the category of Cellular and Molecular Biology with their project "Cdc42 Binding to IRSp53 Induces Filopodia Formation and Causes Localization of IRSp53 to the Leading Edge of Motile Cells".
They received a prize of US$1,500.
