The Singapore Experience Awards recognises organisations and individuals that have made outstanding contributions to enhance Singapore’s image as a premier tourist destination. Award categories encompass a wide cross-section of tourism sectors including, Hospitality, Retail, Dining, Entertainment, Attractions, Business Travel & MICE, Education and Healthcare.
  

2011 Roy L. Shafer Leading Edge Award (Experienced Leadership in the Field)

Mr Clarence Sirisena, Assistant Chief Executive (Projects & Exhibitions) was awarded the 2011 Roy L. Shafer Leading Edge Award for Experienced Leadership in the Field. The Roy L. Shafer Leading Edge Awards are presented annually to ASTC members and/or employees in recognition of extraordinary accomplishments in Visitor Experience, Business Practice, and Leadership in the Field that not only enhance the performance of their own institutions but also significantly advance the mission of science-technology centres and museums.
 

2017 AVA Digital Platinum Award in the New Category/Interactive Media (E3: E-mmersive Experiential Environments Exhibition)

This is an international competition which began as a celebration of the audio-visual arts, is administered and judged by the US-based Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP) that recognises excellence in digital, creativity, branding and strategy. The award was submitted through Digimagic Communications, one of our exhibition partners responsible for the multimedia production.

The PR2017 Awards are for recognition of SCS’s efforts in Singapore Science Festival 2016, and also Marvel's Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N.  exhibition.

2013 ASPAC Creative Science Communication Award

Science Centre Singapore received the 2013 ASPAC Creative Science Communication Award for its ArtChemist Show. The award was presented at the 13th Annual Asia Pacific Network of Science & Technology Centres (ASPAC) Conference in Korea. All nominations were evaluated according to their scientific accuracy, creativity and skill in the delivery, and value to the visitor or participant.  
  

2013 ASPAC Creative Science Exhibit Award

Science Centre Singapore received the 2013 ASPAC Creative Science Exhibit Award for its Fire Tornado Exhibit. The award was presented at the 13th Annual Asia Pacific Network of Science & Technology Centres (ASPAC) Conference in Korea. All nominations were evaluated according to their scientific accuracy, creativity and skill in the delivery, and value to the visitor or participant. 
 

Best Educational Program - Sea Rex: Journey to a Prehistoric World Movie Program (awarded by Giant Screen Cinema Association in 2011)

The Giant Screen Cinema Association Awards are given each year to recognise excellence in filmmaking and marketing in the giant screen cinema industry.

MOE Innergy (SB) Awards (awarded by Ministry of Education in 2015)

The MOE Innergy (SB) Awards is a reward scheme that recognises project teams from Statutory Boards (SBs) who have developed, tested and implemented innovative ideas to improve their work and/or created new processes/ value that have significantly benefited internal and/or external stakeholders.

Outstanding Mentor Awards (awarded by Science Mentorship Programme, Gifted Education Branch, Ministry of Education in 2015)

The Outstanding Mentor Award is an MOE award to recognise outstanding mentors to students that participate in the Science Mentorship Programme. In 2015, 4 staff from Centre for Research and Applied Learning in Science (CRADLΣ), Science Centre Singapore (Dr Wulf Hofbauer, Mr Chen Shunfa, Mr Alex Teoh Chin Chye and Mr Goh Yingrui) received this award.  

Winner of Museum Roundtable Award for Best in Education and Outreach (CSI-The Experience Education Programmes) (awarded by National Heritage Board in 2011)

The inaugural Museum Roundtable Awards was launched by the National Heritage Board to recognise outstanding museums and galleries in Singapore.

The Best Multi Channel Campaign Bronze Award for Transformers 30th Anniversary Exhibition (awarded by The Marketing Events Awards in 2015)

The Best Exhibition Event Bronze Award for Human Body Experience Exhibition (awarded by The Marketing Events Awards in 2015)

The Marketing Events Awards 2015 Singapore is produced by Marketing, a publication of Lighthouse Independent Media to recognise excellence in event marketing in the Asia Pacific region.

Winner of 3rd tier Meritorious Defence Partner Award (awarded by MINDEF in 2013, 2012 & 2011)

The Total Defence Awards (formely known as the SAF Awards for Employers) was introduced in 1986 to provide an avenue for MINDEF to showcase the supportive employers and promote their efforts to inspire other employers. The awards,  comprising the Minister for Defence Awards, Distinguished and Meritorious Defence Partner Awards, are presented annually in July at an Awards Banquet hosted by the Minister for Defence.

Singapore Service Class
(awarded by SPRING Singapore in 2010)

Launched in 2003, Singapore Service Class (S-Class) is the certification for the business excellence niche standard for service. The niche standard enables organisations to develop their service capabilities to enhance service leadership, service agility, customer delight, and customer experience. Based on the business excellence framework, it covers 6 categories namely, Leadership, Planning, Information, People, Customer and Results.
  

 

Singapore Quality Class
(awarded by SPRING Singapore in 2010 & 2005)

Launched in 1997, Singapore Quality Class (SQC) is the certification for the overall business excellence standard. Based on the internationally benchmarked business excellence framework, the SQC provides organisations with a holistic model for managing a business for excellence. It has 7 categories, namely, Leadership, Planning, Information, People, Processes, Customers and Results.
  

 

People Developer Certificate
(awarded by SPRING Singapore in 2008 & 2004)

Launched in 1998, People Developer (PD) is the certification for the business excellence niche standard for people. The niche standard provides organisations with a total approach to managing people and achieving high performance through its people systems. Based on the business excellence framework, it covers 5 categories namely, Leadership, Planning, Information, People and Results.
 

Singapore Health Award
(awarded by Health Promotion Board)

Silver in 2007,   Gold in 2008,   Platinum in 2012

The Singapore HEALTH (Helping Employees Achieve Life-Time Health) Award is presented by the Health Promotion Board to give national recognition to organisations with commendable Workplace Health Promotion (WHP) programmes. It is an important way of showing appreciation to organisations that strive to help their employees lead healthy and vibrant lives.

We Welcome Families Achiever Award

Spearheaded by the Making Businesses Pro-Family Workgroup and supported by the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS), The PFB Mark underscores the potential business value that can be derived from targeting families as customers. Businesses which meet specific standards relating to their Strategy, Service, Infrastructure and Business Outcomes (Results) will be awarded the PFB Mark. The Singapore Productivity Association accredited Science Centre Singapore with the Business for Families Mark, with effect from 18 February 2013 till 17 February 2015.

Science Centre Singapore received the Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor in 2016. It also received this accolade in 2013 and 2014. This prestigious award is given to the top 10% of all businesses worldwide on TripAdvisor that consistently earn high ratings from TripAdvisor travellers.
