Through hands-on activities, talks and learning journeys, STEM INC programmes seek to engage the learners and build a bridge between textbook knowledge and real-world applications. STEM INC positions


The Project Officer, Media & Communications is responsible for internal & external communications with STEM INC, Science Centre, schools, government agencies and industries.  The Officer will also manage an online resource portal for STEM-based Applied Learning Programs.  The Officer will be responsible for maintaining a strong and consistent brand messaging for STEM INC and associated Applied Learning Programs on a variety of platforms, including press releases, published resource materials, and online media.  The Officer will work with contracted vendors in the production of such materials, particularly videography and web-based materials.  The Officer will also be responsible for building new relationships and maintaining existing relationships with STEM INC’s school, government and industry partners.

The ideal candidate should possess a good Degree in communications, public relations or related disciplines, with at least 3 years’ experience in a communications, marketing or public relations role within an educational or scientific establishment. The candidate should be able to work well both independently and as part of a team. She/he is also expected to be a self-directed learner who is keen to keep up with the latest trends in online media, with a focus on its use in STEM education.

The candidate must possess good written and oral communication skills in English, as well as demonstrate effective networking, negotiation and organizational skills.  The candidate must be able to manage a complex workload and work to tight deadlines.  The candidate must also demonstrate competent ICT skills, including website and social media management.  Fluency in other languages would be an added advantage.
